Through our “ACE” (Agility, Collaboration and Engagement) efforts, we promote diverse discussion and value ideas from all employees on how to work more effectively. Commitment in action

Leadership Development - We provide leadership training focused on developing inclusivity within teams and driving employee engagement to develop a diverse and skilled group of emerging leaders.

Employee Resource Groups - Our Women’s Leadership Forum brings female leaders together to discuss important issues and share advice for working and advancing within the company. Our Inclusion, Diversity, Engagement, Acceptance (IDEA) Team brings employees together to focus on community fundraising, inclusion, education, and acceptance.

Pay Equity - American National conducts routine pay equity analyses to ensure employee wages are set fairly.

Time Off to Volunteer - We provide employees with paid time to pursue volunteer opportunities within their local communities.

Texas Competes - American National was an early member of Texas Competes, which is a partnership of business leaders that is welcoming to people in the LGBTQIA+ community.

Celebrate Diversity - We value employee individuality and identity. We observe national diversity commemorative months that provide employees with educational resources to enhance awareness and understanding.

Finding Diverse Talent - Our Talent Acquisition Team attends fairs, provides internships, visits and partners with several colleges and universities – including historically black institutions – to find exceptional talent. So far in 2023, over 37% of our open positions have been filled by Black, Indigenous, People of Color.

U.S. Army Partnership for Youth Success - American National has been a part of the U.S. Army Pays for several years to help honorably discharged soldiers find a civilian career.
